Sports Legacy

Olympic Athlete, Team Manager, and Small Business Owner
From 1985 to 1994, he owned and piloted a bobsled racing team, mastering all performance-determining factors. Lasting success required: (a) developing the mental and athletic skills to compete at the highest level, (b) recruiting, training, and leading a high-performing team, (c) designing, manufacturing, or acquiring top-tier sports equipment, (d) building an environment with expert support staff and mechanics,  (e) securing sustainable funding through consistent high performance, attracting corporate sponsorships.
By systematically analyzing competitors and optimizing resources, his team consistently delivered excellence. Success was built on meticulous planning, trust, precise execution, and resilience in both victory and defeat. These principles provided valuable insights into sustainable performance in teams and organizations.
His achievements include four Olympic medals, with gold in the two-man bobsleigh at Albertville 1992 and Lillehammer 1994, making him Switzerland’s most successful Olympic bobsleigh pilot. He also secured multiple World and European Championship titles, as well as overall World Cup victories – all  achieved with self-designed and manufactured equipment.
Beyond titles, Weder values the friendships formed during his career and is grateful that all team members remained safe.
